Managing Partner, Co-Founder
Greg Tobben is the managing partner and a co-founder of Access Capital Partners. He has more than thirteen years of experience in investment banking, capital markets advisory, turnaround advisory and principal investing.
Over the last several years, Greg has led the development of the firm's independent sponsor financing practice and over the course of his career, has experience in a broad range of sectors, including: manufacturing, transportation, logistics, food and beverage, restaurants, consumer products, business services, technology, distribution & supply chain management, specialty finance and real estate.
Prior to forming Access Capital Partners in 2014, Mr. Tobben led the origination and execution of a broad range of debt and equity capital raises, M&A assignments, as well as numerous turnaround and restructuring engagements for another middle market investment bank. Prior to his roles in investment banking, he focused on business development and raising institutional capital to support multi-family acquisitions across the United States for a private equity firm.
Greg graduated from The University of Missouri- Columbia with a dual concentration in Finance and Real Estate and holds his FINRA Series 63 and 79 Registrations with StillPoint Capital, LLC. He lives in St. Louis with his wife, April, and his daughter, Amelia.
Greg Porto is an advisor to Access Capital Partners. He is partner in Energy Boss, a wellness company providing a customized wellness solution for executives and their families via an online platform, mobile app and personal coaching.
Greg has extensive finance, business development and operations experience in a breadth of industries in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Over his career, Greg has helped executives and entrepreneurs build, finance and exit their businesses, executing transactions exceeding $8 billion in aggregate value.
He is a co-founder and former partner of Access Capital Partners. Before founding Access Capital, Greg was the head of a St. Louis based middle market investment bank, ran the Chicago offices of two independent NYC based investment banks and was a Managing Director in a national investment bank.
Greg is a graduate of Duke University and received his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. He resides in St. Louis with his wife and business partner, Jennifer.
