Greg Porto is a partner and co-founder of Access Capital Partners. Greg advises private middle market companies in capital raising, M&A and growth strategies. He has extensive corporate finance experience in a breadth of industries in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Over his career, Greg has executed transactions exceeding $8 billion in aggregate value.
Before founding Access Capital, Greg was the head of a St. Louis based middle market investment bank. Prior to that, Greg ran the Chicago office of Ion Partners, a New York City based middle market investment bank where he remains a Senior Advisor. He spent eight years in the investment banking group at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. where he was a Managing Director focused on private placements, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings for middle market companies. He has held executive management positions in operating companies as a CFO, director of restructuring and as the partner of a marketing and product development company. He began his career in New York in the investment banking group at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc. Greg maintains his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 Registrations with StillPoint Capital, LLC.
Greg is a graduate of Duke University and received his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. He resides in St. Louis with his wife, Jennifer.
Greg Tobben is a partner and co-founder of Access Capital Partners. He has more than eleven years of experience in investment banking, capital markets advisory and real estate, including sell-side, strategic advisory, turnarounds and capital markets transactions.
Mr. Tobben's transaction experience includes a range of sectors including: manufacturing, transportation, logistics, food and beverage, restaurants, consumer products, business services, distribution & supply chain management, specialty finance and real estate.
Prior to forming Access Capital Partners in 2014, Mr. Tobben was a Vice President at another regional middle-market investment bank, where he managed day-to-day execution of M&A and strategic advisory assignments in addition to a broad range of equity and debt capital raise transactions. His prior business experience also includes sourcing, structuring and capitalizing real estate acquisitions across the United States for a private equity firm.
Greg graduated from The University of Missouri- Columbia with a dual concentration in Finance and Real Estate. He holds his FINRA Series 63 and 79 Registrations with StillPoint Capital, LLC. He lives in St. Louis with his wife, April.
